- Guitar hero for your face

Making younsters interested in anatomy in 4 weeks!

To support DR’s year of science coverage, we were challenged to create a digital experience that enables users to learn about science in an interactive format.

In only 4 weeks, we concepted and developed an engaging digital experience, helping to turn passive consumers into content creators and brand ambassadors.

In just 1 week, 12.000 people played for an average time of 41 seconds and 500.000 muscles were moved.

How did we do it?

We pushed the boundaries of Facebook’s AR Studio, released just weeks prior the project kicked off, to create a selfie effect that teaches you how your facial muscular structure works.

Rather than just explaining the human anatomy, we used the unique capabilities of Facebook’s augmented reality platform to turn the camera into an engaging game - nudging the users to realise on their own terms what a fascinating machine their bodies are.

To try out the game yourself, add go to facebook and like DR's official page. Next time you open the camera, the filter should be there! Or try it by following the link below!
